  You are invited to exhibit at the Minnesota English Learner Education Conference, a partnership between MinneTESOL and the Minnesota Department of Education. This year’s MELEd Conference will be held at the Saint Paul RiverCentre.

  You are invited to participate on November 21-23. Thursday, November 21 is the MN EL Coordinator/Director meeting. The general conference is November 22-23.

  We estimate that over 1,000 participants from Minnesota and surrounding states will attend this year’s conference. The participants come from all areas of ESL, Bilingual, Immersion and Migrant Education. Members of our organization teach in early learning, elementary, middle school, secondary, college, and adult programs. In addition to instructors, conference attendees include students preparing to teach, paraprofessionals, volunteers, refugee service providers, administrators and teacher educators.

  We welcome your active participation as we host Minnesota’s ESL, Bilingual Immersion and Migrant Education teachers at this excellent conference! This is a great time to increase your company’s involvement in our annual conference.

  As always, we have set aside time in the program for conference attendees to visit your exhibits. The exhibit area for the general conference at the Saint Paul RiverCentre is a wide, well-lit, comfortable area. Please plan for HIGH traffic from conference attendees in this large and welcoming space.

  This year's MDE K-12 EL/MLL Coordinator Day will take place on Thursday, November 21, 2024. 

  The Minnesota Department of Education (MDE) English Learner/Multilingual Learner Coordinator Day is for K-12 English Learner and Multilingual Learner Program Coordinators from Minnesota School Districts and Charter Schools. This session will include updates from the Minnesota Department of Education related to English Learner programming and assessment as well as policy issues and other initiatives impacting multilingual learners in Minnesota. 

  Registration for the MDE K-12 EL/MLL Coordinator Day includes continental breakfast, boxed lunch and an afternoon snack. Registration does NOT include parking (parking is self-pay).

  Tentative Schedule (full schedule to be posted closer to event):

  • 8:00 am - Registration, networking and continental breakfast
  • 8:30 am-3:30 pm - Coordinator Meeting (includes general session, break for lunch, and breakout sessions)

  The cost of registration will increase on November 2, 2024. No refunds will be issued after November 4, 2024.

  In order to keep the registration cost affordable for our attendees, please note the following:

  • Registration for the conference does include continental breakfast and an afternoon snack.
  • Parking is NOT included in the registration price. Parking is self-pay. We encourage participants to take public transit or carpool to the conference.
  • Due to changes with RiverCentre Catering, we are no longer able to offer pre-paid lunch vouchers. There will be self-pay options for lunch onsite at the RiverCentre during the conference. Lunch is NOT included in the registration price.

  Conference Schedule: Friday’s keynote and sessions will be targeted primarily for K-12 ESL teachers and Migrant Education. Saturday’s keynote and sessions will primarily center around the Minnesota Humanities Center, Dual Language Immersion, College, Adult Basic Ed, and Teacher Ed. We will have wonderful sessions on both days to encourage everyone to participate as much as possible. Full schedule information will be posted this fall on our website.

  Group Registration:  Those registering groups of 5 or more attendees from the same institution are invited to fill out and submit a group registration form vs. registering online to help make it easier to register for different levels.
